Shops built illegally on government land demolished

Sahiwal: In an operation against encroachments, six shops built illegally on land reserved for Tehsil Complex Assistance Commissioner Office near Lari Adda Chowk have been demolished, reported a news source. These shops were being occupied since the last 22 years. The operation was carried out in the supervision of Sahiwal Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Shoaib. Reportedly, the shopkeepers were also issued notices to vacate the property for which they haven’t been paying any rent either. Getting the possession of the government land, Shoaib said he will not allow illegal occupation of government owned land.
