Grand operation against encroachments held

Rawalpindi: A massive operation has been carried out against illegal encroachments in the capital, according to a news report. This was carried out by Chief Officer (CO) Potohar Town Kamran Khan, who had a large number of illegal constructions and signboards removed. The Potohar Town management took action against large signboards along roadsides and in residential areas, and issued notices to all violators who’ve continued their business activities in residential areas. Khan visited Adiala Road, Chakri Road, Dhamyal Road, Dhama Syedan Road and Kotha Kalan, and removed dozens of encroachments along the way. While talking to media, Khan briefed that he has formed a special task force to take concrete measures against encroachment mafia and illegal constructions. The team will also ensure that there are no violations against regulations regarding sizes of signboards and encroachments.
