Development projects worth PKR 292 million approved

Gujranwala: Development projects worth PKR 292 million were approved during the annual meeting of the municipal corporation, a news source reported. A total of 99 projects were approved in the meeting. Included among the approved projects was a project for a zoo spread over 247 kanals, a general bus stand spanning 135 kanals near Aziz Cross, and plans to move the slaughterhouse from the city. According to details, 30 kanals of land have already been acquired for the zoo, while 135 kanals for the bus stand were bought back in the 1980s, but the municipal corporation does not have possession yet. A bus stand will be made there after acquiring possession since the old bus stand is facing issues because of the increasing population of the city.
