KMC to construct 200 bus stops

Karachi: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) is going to construct 200 bus stops on the roads under its administration, a news source reported. This was stated by Mayor Karachi Waseem Akhtar while he was attending a briefing on construction of bus stops. He said that the bus stops will be electrified through solar energy and will be maintained daily. He further said that KMC will take special care to ensure that there is no commercial activity near the bus stations and no shops will be opened near the bus stop to provide a comfortable environment at the bus stops. He also said that new bus stops will be constructed in place of the ones made in 2009 or if they can be repaired, they will be made functional after repairing the old ones.
