Development of Gwadar Int. Airport to start this year

Islamabad: Construction of Gwadar International Airport will kick off this year, CPEC Secretariat briefed the news media. In addition to that, work on development of economic zone in Mirpur, a project planned Under China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, is underway at a brisk pace. In this regard, land measuring 1078 acres has already been acquired. The secretariat officials also said that related work to set up an industrial settlement near the project is also being vigilantly carried out. The economic zone will feature a mix of related industries. The media was also briefed on various power and infrastructure projects carried out under the CPEC; work on these projects will be initiated this year.
