ADB to spend PKR 40 billion in the city: Mayor Sargodha

Sargodha: Mayor Sargodha Malik Aslam Naveed has revealed that the Asian Development Bank (ADB) intends to spend PKR 40 billion in Sargodha, a news source reported. The money will be channelled towards infrastructural development, sewerage, clean drinking water, disposal of waste, and recycling. The mayor was speaking at a press conference held at his office, attended by Deputy Mayor Bilal Khan and other union chairmen. Outlining the details, he said that ABD will contribute towards the up-gradation of sewerage and water systems in the city. For waste disposal, work will be done on consolidating a solid waste management system, landfill sites, slaughter houses, disposal work constructions, and water filtration plants. For traffic management, the city’s infrastructure and parking plaza sites will be improved. Work will also be done on building parks, an academy for staff trainings, and the municipal corporation’s office.
