Structural strength confirmed for PHA’s 3,200 flats in I-12

Islamabad: Housing Ministry officials told a parliamentary panel that the load-bearing issues identified in I-12 apartments have been resolved, according to a news source. They stated that soil testing reports revealed that the apartment buildings could bear loads ranging from 1.4 to 2.4 tons per square feet. Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) is a subsidiary of the Housing Ministry and is building 3,200 apartments in the Capital Development Authority’s (CDA) I-12 sector. However, Housing Secretary Dr Imran Zeb Khan and other officials revealed that these issues had been resolved. To this end, the committee directed CDA Member Planning Dr Shahid Mahmood to cooperate with the housing ministry to solve any remaining issues.
