CM Sindh takes notice of illegal occupation of government servants’ flats in Landhi, Karachi

Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Mr Qaim Ali Shah has taken serious notice of the illegal occupation of flats located near Landhi Railway Station, according to a news source. Chairing a meeting held in this regard, he ordered the DIG East to get the property vacated immediately. These flats were allotted to the families of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) martyrs and government servants. Mr Shah also directed Sindh Reserve Police to take the property in custody and ensure fool-proof security of the allotees. He also announced that the remaining flats would be allotted to the families of martyrs of Sindh Police. Out of a total of 368 flats, only 155 were allotted to families of those who died in the October 18, 2007 and December 27, 2007 attacks and the remaining were meant for the families of martyrs who were still unfortunately unidentified.
